General F.A.Q.

  • When is the Recital? The Recital is Friday June 6th through Monday June 10th with a mandatory dress rehearsal Thursday June 6th at the University of Redlands Glenn Wallichs Theater. Please check your designated class cast to attend the correct show.

  • Where is the Recital? The University of Redlands Glenn Wallichs Theater, parking lot address: 1176 Sylvan Blvd. Redlands, CA  92374

  • How do I get tickets for the show? Tickets are $15 each and you may purchase tickets here on our website beginning with Limited Tickets on May 6th. Please check the important dates section for more detail.

  • Do I need to purchase a ticket for my dancer? No, dancers participating in the show will not need a ticket, as they will be backstage during the entirety of the performance.

  • I have a small child that will be sitting in a lap, do I need to purchase a ticket for them? No, as long as the child can stay seated in a lap for the entire duration of the performance. Children will not be allowed to run in the aisles of the theater during the performance.

  • Are parents allowed backstage? No. Only parent volunteers, with a volunteer wrist band, are allowed in the backstage areas. All dancers will be checked in, and then walked back to their dressing/holding areas at their call time. After parents check in their dancer(s), they are then welcome to wait in the lobby for the auditorium doors to be opened for seating.

  • Can I volunteer to help out backstage? Yes, volunteer lists will be available for female parents/guardians to volunteer backstage and all genders can volunteer in the in house positions.   Additional small children/siblings can not be in the backstage area with volunteers.

  • Where do I check my dancer(s) in? A check-in table will be located on the left side of the Glenn Wallichs Theatre . Once your dancer is checked in, they will be escorted by one of our amazing volunteers to prepare for the show. You will not see your dancer until after the show is finished. Please do not visit them at Intermission, or try to pick them up early. This is for the safety of our dancers and we think all of our dancers deserve to take a final bow at the end of the show!

  • Where do I pick my child up after the recital? After each performance, one parent will be asked to stay in the theater while teachers dismiss students. Family and friends can wait in the lobby or the outside areas.

  • What is a Dress Rehearsal? A Dress Rehearsal is a scheduled practice time, onstage, where your dancer wears their costume – along with correct hair, tights, and make-up. A dress rehearsal gives the dancer time to get used to the stage, gives the parent(s) time to practice hair and make-up, and allows the teacher to make any corrections needed before showtime!

  • My dancer is in more than one dance, how will they change? All dancers with more than one costume in a single show will need to wear a nude leotard or over and under. Please bring the additional costumes in a clearly labeled garment bag. Please DO NOT send costumes without names. If the dancer requires a shoe/tights change along with their costume change, please attach the correct shoes/tights in a freezer size Ziploc bag to each hanger. Each costume hanger should be clearly labeled with: Dancer's name, Dancer's class name, Name of the dance, hair style, shoes, tights, any accessories needed. Our parent volunteers will make sure your dancer is changed and ready for each performance onstage.

  • Can I take pictures/video of my dancer on stage? The only opportunity for pictures/video is during the dress rehearsal. Pictures and Videos during the Performances are STRICTLY prohibited.  We do offer an edited  DVD and/or Digital Download of the entire performance available to purchase. You may order on our website at a later date.

  • If my child is in both shows, can I  leave them at the theater in between shows? No. All dancers must be picked up by a family member after shows and during dress rehearsal.

  • Are students allowed to watch the recital? The only opportunity for dancers to watch the recital will be at our Dress Rehearsal. Dancers must stay backstage during the duration of the recital, even if they are only in one number.

  • Will tickets be assigned seating? No. General admission.

  • Will tickets be available at the door? Yes, but availability is not guaranteed.

  • Will there be flowers for sale in the lobby? Yes. You can purchase flowers in the lobby on days of the recital.

Will there be concessions? Yes. Concessions will be sold before each performance & at each intermission. All concessions must be consumed in the lobby, no food or drink other than water is allowed inside the theater.
